| HEADLINE | Billed R12,000 too much - estimated readings |
||
| Our electricity meter has last been read in December 2010, the April 2011 estimated meter reading on the bill is the same as the current actual meter reading which means that we have been billed for an approximate R12000 too much. We have been in contact with City Power on numerous occassions, through all methods possible. We have also been in contact with the meter reading companies, still no success. We even had a private prepaid sub meter installed as we have been unable to get the municipality to come and install one. Apparently contractors are now sent out to disconnect electricity - can the same not be done to do a meter reading, for once?! We are paying heavy interest on "overdue" bills due to incorrect billing. We are forced to pay to ensure the electricity is not disconnected. | |||
