6 Month wait for prepaid meters

We applied for pre-paid meters 4 months ago. When following up (661022) as to why we had not received any feedback, we were told the application process had changed and we had to start from scratch. We called the new number given to us and started the application process all over again. We were told we would receive a sms, in 2 weeks’ time to indicate the installation would take place in 2 days.

We are now 4 weeks into our second application (2 weeks after we were told our meters would be installed). When following up with the call centre I am now told I will only receive a sms 2 months after our application. This means we would have been running after City Power for a total of 6 months!

Why is it that we always have to run after our government departments? Why do we continuously have to be nice and swallow all our pride and dignity when the people behind the telephone have 'I don’t give a ****' attitudes?

Once again we must just shut up and wait.
