| For the last 3-4 months, my municipal account has been between R640 - R870. This is a ridiculous amount of money and is largely due to the water and sewerage consumption. I queried when my first insane bill came and the consultant said that it is an actual reading, so i cannot query further. Last night i opened the cover and discovered that the meter is BURIED under sand and grass. We literally used a spade and dug the soil out that was covering the meter - at least 20cm below surface. HOW COULD THE MUNICIPALITY THEN CLAIM ACTUAL READING IF THE METER WAS COVERED AND COULD NOT BE READ. We don't utilise a lot of water and our dried out garden is a testimony to that. Prior to these ridiculous amounts we paid under R200 for entire municipal bill. I want my money back. You are billing me an extensive amount for water by sucking this out of your thumb, then you double the sewerage because you link water consumption with sewerage. If you take actual readings then you should be allowed to state "actual" on bill. How do i get my refund. This is so unacceptable!!! Today i call Lindeka to query this ref 10112381 and she tells me to hold and i can hear her laughing about me with collegue!!! | |||
