| Vehicle accident happened on 31 August 2011 on Old Oak Road Bellville where the barrier was damaged for approximately 30m and up to date not been repaired. Residents are exposed to the danger should another accident occur. We as residents have send emails requesting a speed camera to be installed and held a meeting with the Tygerburger newspaper regarding this poor service and HIGH ACCIDENT stretch. The response was that there is no money for a speed camera. When we requested a concrete barrier to be put up to protect the properties on the side of this road, the reply was that the Council will not put up concrete barriers as it will cause more fatalities!!! What about all the people that has already died on this road and the many lives that is at risk on the side of this road - being the residents in there houses? | |||
