NO SERVICE FROM CITY OF CAPE TOWN AGAIN! |

Removal of Refuse by the Municipality happens in our area in Mowbray on a Thursday morning, usually between 6 - 7am. When I left for work yesterday morning around 8am the refuse had still not been collected and by this time the garbage was already spilling out of the bins onto the pavement. I called the City of Cape Town and the guy at the call centre advised that there was a delay, but that they would definitely be making their rounds in the area later in the day. Today it is Friday and still no collection of the garbage and by now the pavements are a complete mess. I called the City again and this time the woman at the call centre advised me that there is still a delay and she had no idea when they would be collecting the refuse. I asked to speak to someone in management and she said she doesn't know who management is so she can't refer me to anyone, she had no clue, no names, no telephone numbers, nothing, her excuse was that she was just at the call centre and knew nothing!! What kind of company offers no training, details, orientation, etc. to their staff, never mind not delivering on a service taxpayers are paying for! This is unacceptable.
