| I bought a Golf 5 GTI, 4 Feb 2011 with 64 750KM's with no spare keys and was told to organise them myself. 2 days later the car had oil leaks(oil filter related), took it back and was repaired. A week later the were noises from the 2 front tyres when turning, took it in, nothing was done. A month later my right rear door stopped working & was advised the 1month dealership warranty had lapsed & should fix it myself. 2mnths later both the front loader disc & shuttle stopped working - replaced at my own cost. Upon hearing a sound coming front the engine I booked the car in @ VW & was told the gearbox housing & related parts were damaged. The warranty rejected my claim on the basis that the car wasn't serviced at 79000KM. The car now has 84192KM. Based on the model, make & sophistication of the car I relied heavily on the car to alert me when due for service, a facility that is avail with these cars. The VW dealership tells me the service light was supposed to have been set at the last service & wasn't done. I'm being held liable for Citton Cars discrepancy&negligence a car merely 6mnth old. Why would I jeopadise a warranty I paid so heavily for by willfully missing service? ***** | |||

Hello champ99, Dear mothusi, we at Citton Cars always strive for customer satisfaction at our utmost possibilities. On 4th FEB you bought a 06 VW Golf GTI, in selling USED vehicles we cannot guarantee sparekeys, as signed by you on our warranty form. On 23rd FEB you bought the car in for the noise when turning, upon collection of the car you were satisfied that the noise was repaired. We never heard from you with regards to this, otherwise we would of gladly reviewed the situation. On the 26th APRIL you informed is about the right rear door, we advised that we would look at it, but unfortunately this was almost 3 MONTHS after you bought the car. Your car was serviced on 64668kms & we advised that you can bring it in for our workshop to reset the service light of which you never brought the car in. We stamped the service books & on delivery our Business Managers explained the car MUST be serviced once a year or every 15000kms, which will be on 79000kms. Our workshop also puts stickers on the inside of the driver door to remind for the next service is due. Unfortunately we cannot be held responsible for owner’s negligence. |
