Recycling of bad products

On Sunday i went into the store to purchase a SYNERG protein shake. There was only one Cholcolate one left, and attempted to purchse it. On my way out, i opened it to find the silver sealant with a funny shaped hole in it, and the shake to be curdled. I demanded a refund, which i got.
I thought that the ned of it...however...My colleague that i gym with came to work and bragged that he had purchased the only SYNERG protein left at Checkers Scottburgh, to which i said "Impossible, they have no stock. I tried to purchase the last one, but it was rancid, and got a refund."
As my colleague opened his drink, i could not believe my eyes when he produced the VERY SAME RANCID BOTTLE OF SYNERG! Not just the same kind, BUT THE VERY BOTTLE I REFUSED TO BUY. The cashier gave it to the manager, and they obviously put it straight back onto the shelf for somebody to purchase!
So much for quality control, so much for hygiene....One really does need to ask the question, does everything we return from being bad get put back on the shelves? My Colleague and I are awaiting a case each, but we are wondering if its safe now...?

Thank you for your e-mail in which you informed us of the bad experience you and a colleague had when you purchased a bottle of Synerg protein at Checkers Scottburgh.

The matter will be reported to Ram Harisunker, the Divisional Manager of our KwaZulu Natal Stores, in order for a thorough investigation to be launched and for the necessary corrective action to be taken to prevent a recurrence of such an incident. You will be contacted in due course for further information and feedback.

In conclusion I would like to thank you for the time and effort you have taken to provide us with this valuable feedback. We realise that it is only with the help of concerned consumers such as yourself that we can offer service excellence and quality that can be trusted.
