| HEADLINE | Off steak and chicken for the 3rd time |

| This is the 3rd time that we have opened our meat / chicken, ready to cook dinner and we have discovered that it is off. The first time this happened, it was chicken. Then 2 weeks ago we bought 2 packs of steak and when we went to cook it, it was a purple colour and stank, now tonight it is the chicken again. Each time, the expiry date on these items havent been reached yet and yet they stink from rottenness. Both lots of chicken were around R35 each and the 2 packs of steak came to around R50, now another R35 for the chicken. All of which have had to be chucked in the bin immediately. The steak I returned to Checkers and the manager did replace it but the fact that this is now the 3rd is just not acceptable. This has also happened with lettuce bags and the prepacked sald packs, where we have opened them way before the expiry date and found them to be slimey and soggy. I am sick of spending money on food at Checkers, only to find that it is off when opening it up just before dinner time. Change to Checkers - what a joke!! | |||
