On 31 January we had a call from a Checkers representative (... Troy?) who called my partner, and apologised for the lack of stock of Pears Soap in our local Checkers Swellenmark. He even offered to bring some to us. While we thank Troy very much, and greatly appreciated his offer, the fact that Checkers does not stock the Pears Soaps in their Swellendam store means that we will have to carry on using PnP in Robertson, which seems to be the nearest place that stocks Pears soaps. It would seem that there may be a supplier (Pears) / retailer vs. (Checkers) issue in Checkers not stocking this product? The inter-relationships between Checkers & their suppliers in none of our business of course, but we always used to buy the same Pears product at Checkers Northgate when we lived in Jhb. We remain puzzled. |
