| Last night, 01 February 2012, at about 18h30 I went to above mentioned branch for a bottle of wine and a case of Windhoek Lager cans. The beer was almost sold out, hence I had to take 4 six-packs from the fridge (as I have been necessitated to do on previous occasions as well). Previously the cashier or supervisor looked up the price of a case without having to be prompted or asked to do so, as a case costs less than 4 six-packs separately. Yesterday, however, the cashier wasn't prepared to do this and the other cashier, who was packing the fridges while the queue was about 6 to 8 people long, just shouted from the back that I would have to pay for the 4 six-packs. I refused to waste my money due to them not being trained properly and insisted they call a manager. One of these young glorified cashiers they call supervisors arrived and also could not find the price. I just left my goods on the counter in order not to waste the growing line of people behind me any more time. This shop is forever (very regularly) out of stock on "bread and butter" lines, forcing one to leave a half-full basket or trolley to go to another shop to do your shopping! | |||

| Quite Impressed: At first I received one of those very standard "copy-and-paste" type letters in response to my complaint, hence I was not impressed, but a few days later that letter was followed up with a phone call from one of the regional managers, a certain Nelis, who apologised more sincerely and undertook to address the poor service at the branch. He even offered to send me a case of the beer I wasn't able to buy, but I declined his offer. | |||
