I recently tried to upgrade (01-Feb). I was phoned directly by Cell C and offered a few different phones. I duly picked one and asked them to commence with the upgrade. Later that day my fiance suggested that upgrading to a higher package would work out cheaper overall. I was disappointed not receive this advice from the Cell C employee. Never the less I phoned the call to cancel the order, and was assured this had been done. Therefore I was most surprised to be woken by a courier delivering my Cell C phone. I sent it back and did not sign for anything. I phoned the call centre again to apprise them apprise them of the problem. Yet again I was informed it was cancelled.Two days later (04-Feb) I went to a branch to full explore my options and when they attempted to process my upgrade I was informed the previous one had not yet been cancelled. On 6-Feb I spoke to a manager at the call centre who assured me it would be cleared and I would be able to upgrade in-store. Suffice to say that 2 days later nothing appears to have changed.
I have either been deliberately lied to or the alternative is that the calibre of the call centre stuff is such that a chimpanzee would sneer at.
