Missing Money

My employee opened an account at Capitec Bank (Beacon Bay) on 16/09/2011. On that day I deposited electronically R9000-00. At no time did the bank card leave the employee, at no time did the employee use the card at any ATM, this was his savings for the future. Between 7/10/2011 and 24/11/2011, someone slowly and methodically checked his balance and withdrew funds from this account, the first seven withdrawals were not reported to him on his cell phone despite their being a cell phone charge. On the 23/11/2011, a larger amount was withdrawn and this was reported by SMS to his cell phone, the first message he received. The withdrawer must have known this had happened because within 2 days the account was emptied, both at ATMs and at stores, checking the balance 2 or 3 times at each incidence.
We reported this to the Port St Johns branch on the 7th December by which time the employee had closed the account. Penina at the branch was most helpful, and we lodged a complaint. Finally, after many phone calls, frustrations and delays, Capitec got back to us on 2nd Feb 2012 to say the fault was not theirs, the ATM withdrawals were fine. A request for a written reply was refused. What now.
