It has come to my attention that that there is an outstanding account for doctor A Brink from 10/06/2011 that you only paid R2000 and as per law you are bound to pay that full account, the law states as follow: Medical Aid - Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMBs)
All Medical Schemes are mandated as per the Medical Schemes Act to adhere to the list below. The 270 Diagnosis and Treatment Pairs and the list of Chronic Conditions covered are reviewed from time to time by all stakeholders. Diagnosis and Treatment Pairs constituting the Prescribed Minimum Benefits Package under Section 29(1)(o) of the Medical Schemes Act (as listed in Annexure A of the Act)

I received an account from attorneys for the amount of almost R10000, for moneys not paid to the doctor for my delivery in hospital. How can this be possible as I received authorization codes from you just a day or two before I went into hospital? Utterly Disgusted: No feedback from bestmed regarding this issue. Been phoning bestmed for 2 weeks i cant even get through to the right person.  This account has been handed over to attorneys and they are phoning us dailly about this. We raised this issue with bestmed over 1 month ago. I will not recommend this medical scheme to any body. we just want a formal letter from bestmed stating the reason why they did not pay this account.
