| I have been with Bestmed Medical aid scheme since October 2011. Whenever i call, it takes me hours to get through. I am currently sitting with the situation where i am trying to claim for 2 appointments i had with my Dr on the 16th of November 2011 and then 23rd of December 2011. At first when i sent through my claims, it was such an issue as they never receive it. When they eventually did, I was told that my claims will be paid on the 27th of January 2012, which is today. When I phoned them today, I was told it will only be paid next Wednesday. So now I ask... will Bestmed be paying my debts that I could not pay in time? Do I ever pay Bestmed late!!!!!! So why must I wait for them!!!!! Also.. they took off more money from my bank account in December... where I had to find out I made short payments, which is funny as they take it all off on a debit order!!! who gave them the right to take money off just as they are pleased! I am not happy with Bestmed at all. Also may I add that I work for the press, and if this problem is not resolved, I will be taking further steps! | |||

Hello Tantjies, We apologise for the drop in service levels experienced by our clients over the past few months. The Principal Officer's communication to all Bestmed members dated late December addressed the poor service issues experienced by you. We expect our service levels to stabilise this week and accordingly your claims will be processed shortly.
