| In September my baby was born and was admitted in neonatal the Friday night. The medical aid gave us an Authorisation number on Monday morning. One month later the bills start arriving showing that nothing has been paid by best med. After numerous calls and no answer for 5 days not even by email we got through to an agent at sanlamhealth stating that there systems are in error and that they cannot pay anything because its a mess and the data is incorrect. I gave them all the information regarding the bills we received and they promised to pay it in January 2012, 3 months later. I tried to phone again to complain because still nothing has been paid and there answer now is your savings account is a 0 balance. I told the person that its impossible because we have an expensive medical aid its in hospital not out hospital. Then they said okay they will submit the accounts again for payment. Still no payment to the relevant doctors and we are getting demand letters now and now same story again no answer on land line / call centre and no answer by email. There customer service is terrible and the people dealing with accounts incompetent with no knowledge | |||

Hello Jessica1234, We thank you for your patience during this trying time. All reconciliations of claims have been finalised and short paid claims were re-processed. We confirm that your Radiology claim for 23 Setember 2011 was corrected and paid to the provider on 17 February 2012.
