| For the past 42 years I have received excellent service from Telemed Medical Scheme up until the take over by Bestmed, administered by Sanlam. I have never received such poor customer service ever before.Since September 2011 doctors accounts take forever to be paid, due to systems being changed and changed back again (this is what I was told). When I ask to speak to one of the Directors, I'm always told that they are in meetings and no one else can assist me. When having to change options for 2012, none of the call centre staff or anyone else could attend to my queries. On phoning, there is a long list off options to choose from, only to find that your call is not answered, or you are being reverted back to the switchboard, resulting in me spending hours on the phone for assistance. Bestmed is giving the Sanlam group a terrrible name. I am now being handed over and black listed due to accounts not being paid by the scheme due to a lack of their poor assistance, and I feel this is totally unfair. I need this issue to be resolved urgently, and have my name cleared. I am also already looking for quotations to join a new Medical Scheme whom can assist me with better customer care | |||

Hello jeanine11, Thank you for logging your complaint on hellopeter.com We sincerely apologise for the frustration we have caused you. Yes, the initial upgrading to a different IT platform and then reverting back to our previous medical scheme administration system is the primary reason for the delays our clients are experiencing in claims payment. The good news is that we are in the final stages of completing our claim payment reconciliations and within the next two weeks our service levels will improve. We thank you for your patience during this trying time.
