HEADLINE	Not paying for eye tests and glasses from benefits
Ref: 4716273 Bestmed is refusing to pay for my eye test and glasses from my benefit, saying "i am still in my previous cycle". I have proof that Bestmed has NEVER paid for an eye test since 2009, always saying that i am in my "previous cycle". My eye test history: 2 Oct 2005. paid by Telemed 26 Feb 2007. paid by Telemed Telemed taken over by Bestmed (1 Jan 2009) Wanted to do eye test and get new optics in 2009, but bestmed stated "i am still in my previous cycle" and don't qualify - but this is after the 2 year cycle that commenced in Jan 2007. I had to pay out of my own pocket for an eye test or glasses (or contacts) in Nov 2010, because they said "i am still in my previous cycle" Today they tell me they won't pay for an eye test or glasses from my optical benefits now because "i am still in my previous cycle". I have to use my savings account for this WHEN DOES THEIR "CYCLE" EVER STOP!? This is unacceptable. They are avoiding their obligations. They are an empire trampling on their members. 171 Hellopeter submissions in 365 days tell the true tale. Trying to call them, their call centre cut me off 6 times so I could not even query their decision! Pathetic! Add a new Bestmed Medical Scheme Report Inappropriate report?
