CHARGED FOR A DEPENDANT THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE OFF

YOU WILL SEE ON THIS SITE THAT I HAVE COMPLAINT ABOUT BESTMED NOT TAKING A DEPENDANT OFF WHEN I ASKED THEM TO DO SO. THEY THEN APPOLOGISED AND TOLD ME THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED. YET I WAS STILL CHARGED FOR THIS DEPENDANT. I JOINED BESTMED IN NOVEMBER AND I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT BAD SERVICE FROM THEM.

TODAY I TRIED SORTING THIS OUT BUT HAD TO HOLD ON FOR 20 MINUTES BEFORE GETTING TO SOMEONE WHO COULD NOT HELP ME. SHE REQUESTED ME TO SEND AN EMAIL. IN THE MEAN TIME MY MEDICAL AID IS SUSPENDED BECAUSE I REFUSE TO PAY FOR A DEPENDANT THAT I DID NOT HAVE. I AM REALLY SORRY BUT THIS SCHEME SHOULD BE CALLED WORST MED

Hello YOLANDE NI,

The adult dependant resignation was actioned on 15/12/2011 as previously stated. Your monthly contribution reduced to R1,342 with effect from January 2012 and the January debit order was rejected due to 'insufficient funds'. We will attempt to recover the arrears at the beginning of February with the February debit order payment run. The amount that will be debited against your account is R1,342 x 2 = R2,684. Your membership remains suspended until such time as any arrear premiums have been received by the Scheme.
