CHECK YOUR CHARGES ON CELL PHONE CONTRACTS!

A few weeks ago I received a SMS advising me that I was subscribed to DragonFly.M. Initially I ignored thinking it was a **** but on later inspection realised I was going to be charged R15.10 every two days to subscribe to this service. Googling and phoning this co. brought no luck. I checked my cellphone statement and under CONTENT found that over the past few months I had accrued over R700 in charges. MTN/Autopage took no responsibility. Integrat, Cael Media, GT Mobile, Victorious Technologies were just a few of the companies ************ deducting amounts through MTN/Autopage from my account. MTN/Autopage I'm sure get cut backs from these deals hence the reluctance to put into place any double check system, i.e. checking for a signature on a piece of paper for example. Where a customer has to reply STOP to a service is also illegal. Found charges on our office contract as well, this time VODACOM involved. [URL Removed] is an organisation who can help if you get billing details from your service provider. I have since been refunded some of the money deducted,no questions asked only denial of any wrongdoing! Check your statements.

Kindly note that the content services are activated via the cellular number sent to. Please be advised that Altech Autopage Cellular has does not receive kick backs from the third party companies as we are billed thus we recoup the funds from the account holder. Kindly note that all content service complaints may be directed to the Waspa board at :
Info@waspa.org.za or telephonically 011 476 7710 who will assist.
