Accounts - never informed of outstanding amount

I had an Autopage account, but the contract was closed (at least according to me) more than 12 months ago. I have never heard again from Autopage, so simply assumed that everything is in order...

However, I pulled a credit record recently and noticed that there was R198 outstanding against my name - something I was never informed about. This had an impact on my credit worthiness, and as a result all my homeloan applications have been denied - for an amount of R198!

Even after settling the amount with Autopage, my name is still not cleared, and even after numerous follow-up emails I have not experience any joy.

If I was informed (via post, email or telephone) of the outstanding amount, then I would have gladly settled the account. However, this never occurred and is simply unacceptable behaviour from Autopage. The service experience (in terms of follow-up) has also been pathetic at the moment as I simply do not receive any replies...

You may contact the bureau to confirm if the record still reflects. Please be advised that there is a turn around time of Twenty days waiting period after they action the request to update clients profile.

Utterly Disgusted: Unfortunately I have not had any response from Autopage, as promised in the response above. Till  now, this is not very different from the service I got directly from them as "No response" was anycase my original complaint as well...
