| HEADLINE | Very poor service from Altech Netstar |

| My car was stolen last year after I was held at gunpoint right by my house where I am still living. Matrix vehicle tracking managed to take action but my car was not recovered so I moved to Altech Netstar in July last year when I got a new car. I decided to run a test on my panic button on Tuesday morning (January tenth) so I called the testing centre and there was no response to the panic button being pressed. Since then, I have called back and forth between the people who installed it at Maponya Mall and the testing/emergency centre. After two callouts, lots of pointing the finger at each other, over R100 airtime spent (not to mention petrol costs for aimless driving), my system being reset over and over, my general alarm not turning on because my system is in a state of panic that cannot be detected, and about 30 trials of the panic button, my system still doesn't work. I am at wits end and don't know who is at fault. I just got told that customer services will call me "sometime next week". If something happens to me in my car before then I'll be in big trouble. I'm going to fight for my money back for months of having an ineffective device. | |||

| Quite Impressed: I was contacted on the Monday immediately following the report and am grateful to have had the customer service centre organise for someone to come out and replace the entire system. Chantel was very efficient and the gentleman who was sent to replace my system was very nice. | |||
