| HEADLINE | I cancelled my ADT account and still have to pay! |

| I have spoken to a lady at ADT customer care division in mid Nov to enquire how to cancel my contract. She gave me an email address and I sent the required letter on 17 Nov 2011, giving one month notice. The contract was then not cancelled, becasue ADT kept on calling me with apparant alarm activations, which is impossible, as I removed their alarm system from my house. I have stopped the debit order at my bank as my month notice as given in advance. I enquired again as to the correct email address and re-sent the letter another 3 times - each time to a different email address, as they kept giving me a different address. Even though I have stopped the debit payment at my bank, ADT still deducts the amount from my bank account (2 months now), because the ref no, or exact amount differs slightly, so the bank cannot counteract this. The bank, however, arranges a reversal of the transaction each time. I spoke to Linda Ntuli on 4 Jan 2012 (ref: VANN13) and she gave me another email address, which I sent the letter to again. Once again, end of Jan 2012, the amount was deducted from my bank account. What does a person have to do to cancel your ADT account? Once with ADT, always with ADT? | |||
