| HEADLINE | ADT Product failure, now we are prisoners in home |

| We installed 2 ADT security systems at our previous residence in September 2009. We moved to another residence in July 2010, we requested ADT to move both systems to our new premises, after consultation, we were advised, that the new residence has a ADT system fitted which was the same as our 2 new systems, therefor they will only move one system & we will continue with the other, meaning we had to sign new contracts? We experienced problems with this system from approx. September 2011. The technician advised us he can't fix the problem & will come back, which never happened, after several attempts to get ADT to fix the system with no success, we had a break-in on 2011/12/31. We personally visited ADT's office's several times (due to no joy via phone consultation), ADT eventually came out to check the system on 2012/01/05. We were advised that this was a very old system which is no longer in use by ADT, & that this old type battery exploded, being the reason for system failure since 2011/12/05. (Old system/new contract?) ADT are not willing to fix/replace the system,now we are prisoners in our own home. Is this fair? Please advice/assist! They refuse to take any responsibility??? | |||
