LIVING IN FEAR !! NO RESPONSE FROM SECURITY CO

We have recently moved into a new property - November 2011 - and the house has an ADT alarm system installed already. Two weeks ago we had a burglary - the house has aliminium windows and a quite a few sliding doors - no security doors etc. The burglar/s obviously know the property (could very much be an "inside" job) as the front window was opened - the sliding door opened and our TV, DVD player and expensive kitchen utensils stolen. My husband noticed on the alarm pad in the bedroom that their was movement in the lounge - but not knowing what to expect, went to the bathroom and switched on the light. The outside sensor light was activated - seconds after that. He waited a few minutes before going to check out what was happening and discovered the window and sliding door open.

We checked the number on the control panel in our bedroom and contacted ADT - we were told to call during the day. This has continued for the past 2 weeks. They informed us that the account was in arrears and registered under another name. We paid the account - sent e mails and requests - several times and we have still had NO response.

We are highly disgusted. Stressed and upset!!

Quite Impressed: ADT responded the same day by the person dealing with contracts in our area. She saw us the next day- and we corrected the contract information.  The payment that we had made to ADT - as we were told to do over the phone - shouldnt have been done - as it was not for our account.  They are looking into that and will hopefully refund the payment.  Our System is updated and activated and we are very satisfied with the feedback and the way they dealt with the problem once they became aware of it!
