Hi there I'm a young working person that wishes to study further. For this purpose I need a studyloan, which I applied for at ABSA's student bureau in Potchefstroom. I called them, they mailed me the forms, I filled it in and sent it back via email. This was completed on the 13th of January. I've registered at UNISA and the deadline for registrations and payment of the fees is the 10th of February. Today is the 8th. Over the last week I have mailed them repeatedly asking what the status of the application is and I'm yet to get a reply that gives me any valid information. 2 Years ago I also studied with a study loan which I got from the branch in Stellenbosch. The whole process took about a week. This is taking almost 4 weeks? If I knew this was going to be the situation I would have gone to a different bank for the loan but I decided to stick with Absa because the last one was quick and the service was great. This is extremely frustrating and I'll think twice about making use of any Absa service in the future. |
