Date of Statements

ABSA have an archived statements option on their website. I downloaded one and found that it ran from the 22nd to the 22nd of each month. I called their helpline on the 7th of February and told the operator that I would like my statements to run form the 1st to the end of each month. The operator told me that it wasn't't possible to change the dates because the statements run from the date the account was opened. I have lodged a complaint but so far no one has come back to me. I told the operator that in effect she was telling me to change the accounting practises of my company to suit ABSA. She denied saying this but this is in effect what she was saying. I joined Barclays Bank of which ABSA is a part, when I 17 years old and subsequently qualified as an accountant. I am now 70 years old and have dealt with banks all my life and never have i heard such utter rubbish as this, that I cannot get my statements that match my requirements and if this is the case it should have been pointed out to me when I opened the account 6 months ago.
