Policy or just a bad time to call???

Surely with the repo rates and unemployment rates SA are facing these days banks with which you have a bond would be prepared to accommodate special requests rather than have the hastle of unpaid bonds, evictions and collections, i have a property in joint names, the second person has subsequently walked out and left the debt to me, i called the bond dept explaining this they told me to phone the payment arrangements dept, i explained to the lady at payment arrangements that i cannot afford the full bond amount on my own and would like to arrange a discounted repayment (difference of R1500 / month) for a period which could be added to the end of my bond thereby extended it by a further 6 months or so..i was told flatly no they cant do that and go into a bank and try and speak to a bond consultant...this doesn't make sense to me, i'm not telling them i'm not paying, i'm even trying to arrange to pay more that half the bond amount but it's flat NO so then your other option is what? fall into arrears, get handed over and they eventually end up with an empty property getting NO income from it???? well done ABSA thats real intelligent business sense, good job there logo isn't "we care"

Over the Moon: I was very wrong about ABSA, unfortunately it was dealing with one individual that gave me such a bad impression of the company as a whole, on the reverse of that though i've since dealt with 2 amazing ABSA employee's, namely, Shadae Johnson and Margie Dear they were both absolutely excellent, i cannot sing their praises enough, words cannot describe how informative and proffessional they both are, they are customer care personified!!!
