Incorrect settlement balance

Hello Peter

Please help. I got a call from Stupel Bermam Attorneys acting on behalf of ABSA today. The claim that I have a balance of R10 725.00 which is due on my cheque account. However an amount of R5 372.00 was reimbursed to my account in August 2008 by ABSA represented by Ms Rozanne Stander.

I told the attorneys that the balance is not correct as the R5372 (rd costs incurred) was reimbursed by ABSA to my cheque account. I am prepared to settle the account, but not with this overly inflated balance and no one can give me a statement as requested. Infact the entire R10 725.00 that is quoted is made up of rd costs with the exception on R2500.00 (overdraft). What cost did ABSA incure to claim this amount besides the overdraft????
