I applied for a personal loan the internet in Dec 2011 and had received no reponse. I phoned the personal loan department on the 9th of January 2012 and they told me that I was approved for R100K but If I want to apply for more I need to apply at a branch. The following day I went to Hennopspark branch to apply. The service at the branch was excellent. After we applied the gentleman told me that he have to send the application away for credit approval as he system did not approve. (Not even a R100K) Strange as the lady the day before told me it was approved. I had to phone and follow up every second day. More than a week later I was told that I had to provide proof that my previous FNB bond was not on my name any more.( I sold the property a year ago). 5 Days later I was told the proof I supplied was not sufficient and I need to supply a letter from my attorneys and then they can only approve R50k. If being a client for 20 years plus and a Platinum account holder doesn't count in your favour then I don't know what will. I have never missed any payments. Im busy speaking to the other banking institutes to move all my business away from ABSA, Vehicle finance and insurance. |
