COMPLAINT RE:1TIME FLIGHT T115

On Sunday 08 January 2012, I & my 2yrs old daughter were booked on a flight from Joburg-Cape Town.The flight was scheduled to depart at 18:30, when i went to check in i was told that there will be an hours delay,which meant that we'll leave at 19:35, due to bad weather.Around 20:00 we were given refreshment vouchers & on enquiring i was told by 1 of the staff members that they were still waiting for fresh crew for our flight, we were told that we will start boarding at 21:20 ,that did not happen.No one updated the passengers, we only found out info. when we complained.By 22:00 a flight that was scheduled to leave @ 21:00 departed for CPT with other passengers & we were still left behind.At 22:30 i decided to go home as i had a baby & the airport was cold.Andre was there but the junior staff were the one's who were mostly talking to the passengers.They had bad attitude, at some point i was told by the manager that "if i want to go home i should and come back the next morning as he is not going to provide any transport/accomodation for passengers.The fligh left after 23:00 , 5hrs later.Shouldnt 1time provide some kind of compensation to the passengers of flight T115 and an apology?

The delay was caused due to severe weather conditions before departure of this flight which was aggravated due to severe traffic congestion at Oliver Tambo International airport, therefore no compensation will be issued as the flight was delayed due to circumstances beyond our control.

We acknowledge that the delay you experienced caused you a great deal of frustration and loss and for that we offer our profuse apologies. We appreciate the opportunity to provide you with our feedback.
